"Try Before You Buy" guarantee
When your lease account is set up, you'll have 15 days to try it out. If you are not completely satisfied, your account will be cancelled with no further obligation. Web site setup is usually accomplished within 24 hours. You do not need to transfer your existing domain name immediately—you will be given a temporary Web site address to use during your trial period.

Leasing
ShelterConnection AC lease includes 25MB MySQL database; AC Plus 7.0 lease includes 50MB SQL Server database. All plans include at least 10 e-mail addresses (AC accounts include 25; AC Plus 7.0 accounts include 50). All plans include your own Web pages and database (databases are completely private, and not shared) plus software installation, regular data backups, Web-site administration, technical support, and software updates. Web hosting is outsourced to commercial firms.

• Domain-name registration can be performed for you at cost. There is no fee to transfer your existing domain name.
• Lease-to-own program: With leasing, you do not own the software. If you would like to lease-to-own the software, where the software is yours to keep at the end of your lease period, please contact us for details.
• Payment: You can elect to pay monthly (requires PayPal account), quarterly, or annually. Annual accounts receive a 5% discount. After your initial 15-day trial period, lease fees are payable in advance. You will always have at least 30 days to make payment after you receive your billing notice. Prepaid unused time is not refundable.
• Cancellation: You can cancel your account anytime by writing to, e-mailing, or calling RescueConnection any time prior to the end of your monthly, quarterly, or annual billing period.

Purchasing
Purchase prices are all-inclusive; software can be delivered via FTP download or on CD-ROM (your choice). Lifetime software updates are included. Please note that a SQL Server license is required to run the software; this license is not included in the purchase price. Please contact Microsoft or your commercial software vendor for SQL Server licensing.

Software Licenses vs. Source-Code Licenses
A Software License grants your organization the right to use—but not modify—the database and software. A Source-Code License grants your organization the right to use and modify the database and software.

Support
RescueConnection and ShelterConnection: Lifetime support is included in your lease or purchase.

ShelterConnection AC and ShelterConnection AC Plus: Lifetime software updates are included in your lease or purchase. 30 days' free support on new leases or purchases. After that, technical support is available for $75/hour; 10-hour blocks are available at a 10% discount. Unused support hours do not expire.

Training
On-site training is available for $800/day + travel. Web-based training is available at $85/hour. Phone-based training is available for $75/hour.

Upgrading from lease to purchase
If you decide within one year's time to purchase your software, half of your prepaid lease fees (up to one year's worth) will be applied to your purchase.

Data conversion
Your data can be converted from PetWhere, Microsoft Excel, and almost anything else. Please contact RescueConnection Software for details.

Upgrading your software

• Upgrade from RescueConnection Lite to RescueConnection at no charge.
• Upgrade from RescueConnection or RescueConnection Lite to ShelterConnection for a one-time $75 fee.
• Upgrade from ShelterConnection to ShelterConnection AC or ShelterConnection AC Plus for a one-time fee of $250.
• Upgrade from ShelterConnection AC to ShelterConnection AC Plus 7.0 at no charge.
